So this will be a two part blog. One part will be my latest
song obsessions. The other part will be about my zany, attention hogging puppy.
I haven’t really been listening to much music lately because
I have been using my phone less than I was before now that I have my laptop. All
of my music is on my phone, but since I don’t have ITunes on my computer, I
have little ways of listening to music. Despite that fact, I have found one
song that I love a lot. That song is “Wide Awake” by Katy Perry. This song is
kind of a hip-hoppy ballad song. I didn’t have to listen to this song a lot
like I normally do before I fell in love with it. In fact, I had never heard it
on the radio. I found it when I was searching for a different song. I love the
lyrics and the music of this song. Katy Perry isn’t really one of my favorite
artists, but occasionally she makes a song that I really like.
Now on to my puppy, Shelly. We went to the vet today and she
got three shots. I hate getting even one shot, so it must have been really
scary for her not knowing what is going on and getting a needle stuck in her
three times. She made it through the shots with only a little bit of
whimpering. Now as she sits next to my mom, she is in some pain but mostly
she’s just tired. The vet said that her biting is normal for a puppy and that
when she is we should distract her with one of her many, many toys. Legit she
has more toys than I have pairs of shoes, and according to my brother I have a
ton of shoes. She has ones that squeak, ones that can be filled with food and
cones that she can bite the living crap out of. Sometimes when Shelly is really
hyper she will sprint around the house with her toys or something she isn’t
supposed to have and make you chase her, which is impossible with her speed.
Before we got Shelly my mom told me that puppies were just
like babies. She was so right. Shelly wakes up in the middle of the night and
then really early in the morning. Just like a baby would, Shelly gets really cranky
when she is hungry. When we were at the vet, at like six o’clock she would not
stop whining and fidgeting because it was dinner time. Her teeth are still
coming in so she has this little toy that looks like something you would give a
baby to teeth on. Also like a baby, she takes up most of my mom’s attention.
When my mom gets home the first thing she goes to is Shelly and asks her if she
missed her. She loves being held like a baby. After we give her a bath my mom wraps
her in a towel like a baby in a blanket and rocks her to sleep.
